Limbo

So I played through Limbo recently and since youtube’s not letting me upload videos longer than 15min…. here’s limbo anyway. ;)

  • I’m digging the video player, though for some reason I feel it’s missing a view counter.

    – In a weird sort of way I feel that Limbo shares lineage with the older “out of this world / another world” series. Both have similar gameplay, and to some degree a visual style.

    It’s Black & White “noire” visuals also remind me of the earliest point & click adventure games I played – “Deja Vu: A Nightmare Comes True” which was originally released as a Macintosh game and thus was limited by the hardware to only Black & White (and grays of course). The game was so popular that it has been ported to nearly every OS and even consoles and handhelds like the gameboy advance.. however every single port has been colorized, rather than retain the black & white Noire feel to the game. To me, that just felt .. wrong. So I ask would Limbo be better if it were in color? I doubt it.

    On the other hand.. I think it’s one of the few indy games that would really shine on Nintendo’s 3DS.

  • Well.. the game is about a boy that losts his sister in the woods and begins searching for her.. in the end.. he finds it and the game ends with the relief on his eyes..

  • I read that after yes, but it doesn’t tell you in any way if you just.. download and play the game. Therefore I was completely stumped. Even if I had known… that would still be weak though.

  • play super meat boy – awesomely hard – you will die so many times. but its not like a bad thing to die. the levels are short, hard and rewarding, and you can play as the headcrab from half life! and the captain from vvvvvv, and many more

  • It randomly took away that privilege from me without reason.
