This weekend’s been kinda eventful and has kept me rather busy. So my weekend started on thursday after work and I ended up chilling with some music and talking with people and then recording some. Nothing too shocking there really.

So on friday I decided I should get my ass to town and buy some new shoes and maybe a new coat. I ended up with some new combat boots from the army dump shop in my town and then went to the bookstore to see if there was anything of interest and sadly the problem for me is that there is hardly anything in English. I would much prefer to read in English than in Dutch as it seems much more proper and you’ll know that you won’t have to deal with translations or different terms. After that I visited a music store here that actually has a good selection of metal, the only downside being that they’re also really expensive, so I didn’t end up buying any more albums but did find some that I really ought to get soon.

After that trip I went home and my dad asked me to go look for a new car for him as the current one’s old and expensive on taxes, it was time to replace it. So we drove to some dealers and had a look around, mainly looking for an inexpensive car that’d be cheap since it wouldn’t get too much use. But it couldn’t be a lunchbox-size car either because.. well, who wants to drive in that? As such we had a testdrive in a new Kia Rio, which looked alright and it drove real good too. Since I liked it too, we basically decided to get that but let the decision rest for a couple of days to make sure. It’s funny though that since I’ll be using the car for a while still I got a big say in it.

So after doing that we returned home and I went for some exercise and discovered I forgot some stuff on my way to town earlier and picked that up. Then I quickly had to eat and meet some friends in Utrecht as I’d meet up with the girl I mentioned in some previous posts and a shared friend of ours. We had decided to meet up and have a good time and put all the things behind us. It was a pretty good evening though she was seemingly really tired and mostly just spoke to our shared friend and acted like I wasn’t there which was strange. But I decided to ignore that and just have a good time, I mean.. why wouldn’t I?

Then the next afternoon we texted back’nforth a bit and all seemed well. I was going for another round of exercising as I felt energetic and felt like cycling some (a bit more recreationally to be honest) when she replied to my previous text and then suddenly just sent me a text right after it saying that she is breaking up all contact with me. So… that came out of absolutely nowhere and as things seemed fine literally some minutes ago, I was left confused and asked her why all of the sudden now she wanted to break contact. She never really gave me an explanation and I replied saying that I think it’s really silly to change your mind so much but that if that’s what she wants, it’s probably for the best as our friendship apparently meant nothing to her. I left her a message saying that I consider her a friend still and that she can contact me should she feel like it and left it at that.

Then in the evening I went out for some drinks at a local metal bar and ran into some old friends and familiar faces there. So I stayed there until after 1am at some point when I had enough and left, fun evening catching up with some people. I have to say that I drank more than I normally would which I have to say I actually noticed in the morning. So I woke up early (thanks internal clock!) with a headache and being unable to sleep anymore so I got up. Since then I’ve been writing this post while talking to some people and listening to music (mainly the bands that I’m seeing at a concert tonight).

As such, I’m off soon again after a late lunch for another metal-filled evening.
